Painted this awhile back. it's actually quite a large piece; over six feet in length! I made it this big 'cos it hangs in my room and I imagine I live there, hehe.

Grace and Strength

What I find interesting about Angels, and the legends surrounding them, are that we tend to personify them as bringers of peace, good news, wisdom, and mercy. But as far as my personal cosmology calls it, they are more.

They are the graceful and merciful warriors of peace. Without blood-lust, but with conviction.

Sometimes I feel like I could use some of that wisdom. I tend to either hold back entirely or lash out severely. I don't like it much. If I communicated with conviction and grace there were be no "bloodshed".

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but does anyone else react this way?

Pure

The lotus grows in mud, but when it blooms it is smooth, white, and clean. It is free of that which surrounded it existence, and yet, it would not grow without the mud and dirty water.

There is hope for us yet, perhaps... ;)
